People Not Paper is a recruitment technology company. Our customers are recruitment agencies and employers who hire at pace and lose good candidates in the gaps — the unanswered message, the interview that took four days to book, the application that vanished into a pile.
We build two products. Relay coordinates the hiring process. Proof qualifies the people in it. Together they carry a role from application to interview without anyone having to live in their inbox.
Relay
A coordination layer for live roles. Relay keeps recruiters, candidates and hiring managers moving in step — messaging each person on the channel they already use, and handling the chasing, the scheduling and the updates so nobody has to. Recruiters stay informed, not involved.

Skills-based assessment. Candidates complete a short, role-specific Sprint built from the employer's own job description — earning the interview by doing the work. Their CV stays sealed until an employer shortlists them. Scoring is based on observed evidence, never inferred character. You can't fake showing up.
In developmentWe meet people where they already are
Recruitment happens in messages, not portals. Relay communicates with recruiters, candidates and hiring managers over the channels they already use — including WhatsApp, SMS and email — on behalf of the recruitment agency or employer using our software.
- What we send. Interview invitations and scheduling, application and status updates, reminders, and requests for information relating to a role a person is involved in.
- Consent first. We only message people who have opted in. Candidates opt in when they apply to a role or engage with a recruiter using our software. Recruiters and hiring managers opt in when their organisation onboards.
- Opting out. Anyone can stop messages at any time by replying STOP, or by emailing us at the address below. We action opt-outs immediately.
- No marketing spam. We do not send unsolicited promotional messages, and we do not sell or share contact data with third parties for marketing.
